We understand that flexibility is important to you, your workforce and your colleagues, and that everyone has different aspirations, different ways of living their lives and fitting in all the things they want to do. We support thousands of people to study flexibly in ways which suit them. From theatre and performance to business, from art and design to youth and community work - all the undergraduate degrees on which we have part-time options are listed here. It's not all about committing to a full degree. Our short courses, often run in conjunction with Glyndŵr Innovations are varied and focused. They include presentation skills, introduction to health and safety, executive coaching, management (from change management to supply chain to systems analysis) and many more. We have one of the strongest communities of mature students in the region as well as excellent relationships with businesses and organisations. It is our flexibility and variety of study options that has enabled us to provide this outstanding service. Take a look through the options below. We are sure you will find something that will meet your needs. Part-time studyThere are lots of reasons for wanting to study part-time, whether because you want a study option that will fit around a job or family needs or you wish to study an area for pleasure in your leisure time. Whatever your reasons we have a number of part-time courses available at a range of levels from professional courses right up to postgraduate study. Meet the student - secondary school inclusion manager Mandi Jones Short coursesGlyndŵr University can develop many of the modules which make up a full degree as stand-alone study courses for organisations. These are a good way to develop knowledge in a specific area or topic and can also be a great way of finding out what university study is like. Courses for organisationsWe have a number of higher education solutions designed to solve work-based training needs. Our training and development team work with organisations across the region to offer assistance in assessing and fulfilling the continuing professional development needs of employees. Courses range from studying single modules as short courses through to degrees and professional courses studied on a part-time basis. There are enormous benefits to undertaking training for both employees and employers. Glyndŵr Innovations are also able to source and deliver bespoke training courses for groups of employees that have the same training requirement within an organisation. These are tailored courses which can be individually designed to meet a specific training need. They can be delivered within the employer organisation, at the University or at the University’s Glyndŵr Management Centre on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. The benefits of trainingFor employees

If you have not been in education for some time have you considered an Access to Higher Education course which will prepare you for studying at university level? Offered in a range of subject areas, the courses can be studied full-time over one year or part-time over two years and successful completion gains you the necessary entry requirement for higher education. These are run locally at many further education providers including Yale College and Deeside College. Further education colleges in your area may also have other part-time options that may be of interest to you. |
