You visit us

School and college students are welcome to visit Glyndŵr University at any time, where they can get a feel for higher education.

We offer taster days, campus tours, subject talks and a variety of other services. We also attend UCAS fairs around the UK.

Taster days

A visit to Glyndŵr University will enable young people to:

  • develop their awareness of a higher education environment
  • improve their understanding of the courses on offer in higher education
  • ask questions about student facilities, study skills, support for additional needs, disabled students allowance, scholarships and bursaries
  • increase student motivation
  • gain hands-on experience of courses and facilities, for example Forensic Science, Studio Recording, Theatre and Performance and Sport

Subject talks

Information, advice and guidance are available in a wide range of subject areas, including:

  • Media, Performing Arts and Promotions
  • Education, Health and Social Care and Community Work
  • Innovation, Science, Technology and Engineering
  • Business and Enterprise
  • Art, Design and Creative Technologies
  • English, History and Cultural Studies
  • Sport and Society
