Research at Glyndŵr University
In the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2008), a proportion of the research was judged to be "internationally excellent". In two areas, namely Computer Science & Informatics and Metallurgy & Materials, a proportion of the research was judged to be 4* "world leading".
Over half of our submitted research was judged to be "internationally recognised" or better. Staff undertake research and development projects for external clients, putting the University right at the 'cutting edge' in a variety of fields.
Research at Glyndŵr University is based on an extensive knowledge of current theoretical learning and the facilities to explore and expand these ideas. The research that is produced from our facilities is globally recognised because its high standard and the innovative way it is approached.
At the moment we are taking part in a £1 billion contract towards building the world’s largest telescope, for example. Further information |
