- Access to facilities including ProEngineer solid body modelling and FEA suite, Abaqus FEA suite, AutoCAD, Fluent CFD software, electronics labs and engine test cell and wind tunnel facilities
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of industry-standard software packages, including MATLAB & Simulink, Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio, Analog Devices VisualDSP, Altium Designer, Xilinx ISE, Altera MAX+PLUS II, Microchip MPLAB and Vector CANanalyser
- The opportunity to develop models by using Rapid prototyping software and equipment in our project workshop
- Use a Westfield Megabird as a project development car, a road-going track day race car and one of the fastest accelerating road cars in the world. Other performance vehicles which the team runs includes the Van Dieman RF79 and award-winning solar vehicle and a gravity racer
- Undertake practical electronics work on a Jaguar X-type car in our specialist motor vehicle workshop

Accreditation
Degrees accredited by the Engineering Council through one of the UK professional engineering institutions offer you a fast-track route towards Chartered Engineer status, a world renowned qualification. To become a Chartered Engineer you will need to graduate from an accredited BEng Programme with further learning.
All of our undergraduate programmes meet the educational standards required for the Chartered Engineer professional qualification. Increasingly, industry is looking for graduates who have the academic qualifications leading to professional recognition. This means that you or prospective employers can be assured that your University of Wales degree from Glyndŵr University has been successfully benchmarked against the Chartered Engineer standard.
