Graham Williams

Graham Williams is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Head of Partnership.

The majority of his time is spent in developing partnerships with primary schools who are involved in the training of student teachers.

Prior to joining NEWI (as Glyndŵr University was then known), in 1994, he taught in a number of schools with pupils ranging from 9–13 as well as 11–18, the majority of which were in East London and the South East of England.

He spent three years in Saudi Arabia at the Technical Training Institute at Dhahran teaching Maths and Physics and as the Forward Planning Officer for the Institute.

He studied for his MA at Goldsmiths College, London and his thesis centred on the effects of the public examination system on the secondary school curriculum.

His interests lie in assessment strategies and their effectiveness and also a range of transitions issues especially those between Schools and Higher Education and Higher Education and Classroom Teaching.
